DELIVERY IN THE UK (England – Scotland – Wales)
Standard delivery: £6.95 per consignment. Please allow 2 working days for delivery (not weekends).
Next Day: delivery within 24 hours is £9.95. (if orders are placed before 11am bearing in mind that we are closed on Monday)
Premium: next working day before 12pm is £19.95 (not Tuesday)
We do not deliver at weekends.
Areas not covered by above delivery tariffs: Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands/ Islands, or Channel Islands. If you require delivery to these areas, we will contact you with the cost of surcharge when the order is placed. You are under no obligation to buy. We do not send goods outside the UK mainland except those areas listed above.
REDELIVERY CHARGES
All delivered items need to be signed for, so the customer will need to be at the delivery address on the day of delivery. If the customer is absent on the assigned day and the goods have to be redelivered, a card will be left for you to contact your local shipping office to organise redelivery. There is normally no extra charge for this service. We will endeavour to advise you on delivery dates where possible. If delivery times are inconvenient you must notify us straight away.
PRICES
All prices on this web site include VAT @ 17.5% & are in £ Sterling.
The prices are not inclusive of postage & packing. Sometimes web prices may
differ from ‘in store’ prices. It is not possible for us to duplicate
some special offer web prices to customers calling at our stores.

You can secure payment by one of the following methods:

Visa – MasterCard – Maestro – Solo – Delta.
Cheques made payable to ‘CAMPING & GENERAL’ ensuring all details are correct with valid bankers card number, expiry date, full name & address and telephone number clearly printed on the back
We do not accept cash sent to us through the post and cannot be held responsible for any losses therewith.
SECURITY
When you shop with us via our website, all financial transactions are entirely
secure.
Our secure server software encrypts all your payment card details. The process
scrambles all the information, allowing no unauthorised third party to intercept
the data. Our system has 1024 bit encryption facility, most other sites have
165 bit.
PRIVACY POLICY
‘CAMPING & GENERAL’ is dedicated to protect your privacy. The
personal information you provide is not shared, sold or disclosed to any third
party at any time or for any purpose without your prior consent.
When you place your order or enquiry, you are required to provide your name,
address and telephone number and/or fax number. This will enable us to process,
fulfil & despatch your order efficiently and to inform you of any future
news & special offers.
Additional personal information you may provide during any form of communication
between yourself and ‘CAMPING & GENERAL’ will be subject to the
same privacy statement.
We use your email address to respond to incoming requests from you and to collect
your feedback.
GUARANTEE
All our products come with a 12 month guarantee against manufacturing faults & defects,
on production of a receipt.
If you feel a fault has occurred during this period, the goods should be returned
to us for inspection and if we are in agreement they will be repaired or replaced.
We will in this case meet any delivery charges incurred.
AVAILABILITY
All products are subject to availability & we will notify you by email
of any delays ASAP.
DAMAGED GOODS
We trust that all goods arrive to you in perfect condition. If you receive an
item that you feel is not in perfect condition then please advise us within 3
days. This applies to goods that are missing from your invoice (enclosed in packaging).
If you do not plan to use an item straight away, we would advise you check it
to make sure it is in working order.
It is our aim to ensure that all goods reach you on time & in good condition.
We cannot however accept responsibility for additional expenses incurred through
late deliveries, faults & shortages.
RETURNING GOODS
All returned items must be reported to us before they are sent. You will receive
a Returns Number that will help process the matter more efficiently. Goods received
without notice will not be accepted. Enclosed with the item should be the Returns
Number, copy of receipt, full name & address with contact number and reason
for the return.
Carriage charges are not refundable unless the item is deemed to be faulty.
GOODS DESCRIPTION
Every effort is made by us to duplicate specifications laid out by the manufacturers.
Sometimes these might be changed and we will endeavour to notify you if this
is the case.
Any sizes or measurements are offered by us as a guide and are only approximate
although we will try to make them as accurate as possible, to the best of our
knowledge.
DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order
for any item purchased on our website and claim a full refund of the price paid
for the goods. To cancel your order you must notify us within seven [7] working
days following the day of delivery. You are responsible for the cost of safe
carriage back to us. Original delivery charges cannot be refunded.
Should you wish to exercise your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations
your order may only be cancelled in writing, or by e-mail. Telephone cancellations
cannot be accepted. The goods must be returned in an unused and re-saleable condition,
unopened (with any seals and shrink wrap intact).
