Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments with exception of American express.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. 

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order BUT It does NOT indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice/confirmation of your order. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason for example we are out of stock. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. 

Please also note that in the unlikey event that we have to issue a refund it can take upto 5-7 working days for your monies to appear back in your account.

Shipping and Handling 

Delivery Schedule DELIVERY IN THE UK (England – Scotland – Wales) 
Standard delivery: £5.99 per consignment. Please allow 3/5 working days for delivery (not weekends). 



Orders placed after 12pm  Friday will not be processed until the following Tuesday as we do not open Monday’s.


We do not deliver at weekends. 

Areas not covered by above delivery tariffs: Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands/ Islands and Northern Ireland. If you require delivery to these areas please refer to scroll down box. You are under no obligation to buy.

Sorry we do not ship to the Republic of Ireland or the Channel Islands. We do not send goods outside the UK mainland except those areas listed above. Sorry we do not accept payment from cards registered outside the UK. 

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK 20% VAT is included.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Privacy Policy Camping & General do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

Please note that all communications are in English only.

You are entitled to cancel your order within 14 days from the date of delivery which you must inform us in writing or by contacting the store.
You then have 14 days to return the goods for a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot refund the cost of the carriage to return the item to us. 
Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 14 days from the receipt of the item's return. 
You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. 
This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or mis-described.

Any goods returned should be in perfect saleable condition with packaging and labelling intact. 
Tents and awnings that have been tried or erected will not be accepted for a full refund.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) Regulations 2007
As a distibutor of EEE (electrical & electronic equipment) and in accordance with Regulation 31 we offer a take back of old WEEE items when you buy an equivalent electrical product from us.
This must be done within 28 days from the date of purchase.

Any postal charges incurred by returning WEEE items is payable by the customer.
Why recycle?

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

What is WEEE?

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.
